Dual nationality for children in the Netherlands?

My 8 year old son was born in Brazil and lives in the Netherlands and has a dual passport, both Brazilian and Dutch. The father is Dutch, the mother Brazilian; both also living in the Netherlands. Is dual nationality for my son allowed according to Dutch law and is there an age at which he will have to choose?
