Legal questions about sexual age and consent

Hello, I have a question about whether or not it would be legal. I am a 27 year old man myself, and I have met a 16 year old girl (almost 17 years old), and I would like to know, if I should continue with this. I read, that the age of sex is 16 years, but I thought it was 18 years. But according to wetrecht.nl it is 16, and ask the police also 16. But then I called the police once, and the lady at the counter, (because she probably thought it was scandalous) said that she did not know any better that it was just 18 years. So here is my question, because I would never break the law, as a 27 year old man, and she a 16 year old girl, would it be legal to have sex with her, if it ever got that far? Bvd.

She was sixteen years old and that means that it is not punishable if you have sexual intercourse with the girl if it is voluntary.
