Questioner

Dear, After the contract with Tele 2 ended, they returned their items (modem, cables, etc.) in their return box to their reply number (not registered). 2 months later received a new return box. Contacted the helpdesk by phone and according to them the package never arrived and a bill of 99.00 euros must be paid. Who now has the burden of proof / how can I now prove that the package has been sent (unfortunately I can no longer find the receipt) and am I obliged to pay them for a return shipment that has been made? PostNL claims that Tele2 should contact PostNL themselves because they actually sent the package themselves (return box + reply number). However, it was not returned by registered mail. Thank you kindly in advance.

You bear the burden of proof of this and if you fail to do so, I fear you will have to foot the bill, unless PostNL can find out whether they made a mistake.
