I received a BKR registration from a bank on a debt that was due. I then received a payment arrangement with the bailiff. I paid off the debt in 2 years, only the end date noted at the BKR is 5 months later. My debt was completely paid off in April 2012, but my end date is September 2017. The BKR refuses to provide me by email or post their conditions about what the rules are about the condition when the registrant must change the registration of the registered. (when paying the debt the end date is stated). I understand that there are a few weeks between cancellations, but I don't understand that there is more than 5 months between them. And I also don't understand that there are many conditions and rules when registering with the BKR, but that there are apparently no clear or public rules and conditions if the person registered with the BKR has paid off his/her debt. How am I legally entitled? Can they take 5 months to process my last payment? This just feels very unfair.Lawyer
This should be done as soon as possible after paying off the debt. However, due to the slow handling of the bailiff or bank, this could have taken longer. It is possible to have the date changed. You can do this yourself or through a lawyer. My experience is that a lawyer can often put a little more pressure. If they do not want to cooperate, this can always be enforced through the court. However, I wonder whether this outweighs the costs. If you would like further help and/or advice, please feel free to contact me.Take the next step
