I am currently sick at home (stressed/burned out) due to working conditions. The occupational health and safety physician declared me unfit for work last week. Today I had an appointment scheduled with my manager about the future. This was already scheduled before I became ill. I did not go to this because I am ill after all. I had not even thought about this appointment. Now I have received an email from my manager stating that this is dereliction of duty and that I have to come in for a meeting on Thursday. Is this all allowed? I work for a government agency.Lawyer
During illness, recovery (recuperation) is paramount. You do not have to go to the interview. This certainly applies to illness due to psychological complaints. When you have recovered sufficiently, you must of course enter into a discussion with the employer about the working conditions. I would unsubscribe from the conversation. If the employer is difficult, I would call in the mediation of the Arboarts. In that case, you should also go to a specialized labor lawyer.Take the next step
