Investment insurance and high-interest policy: Questions and Answers
Questioner
investment insurance Usury policy taken out by my parents investment insurance product. Deposit around 40k remaining amount now only a small 9k. This includes cost compensation of 2k! Product is very unclear and money evaporated enormously. How can I check if the cost reimbursement is real? Thank you in advance!Lawyer
The total cost compensation may not exceed 2.5% of the investment value on an annual basis. My advice is to have the insurer provide insight into the exact cost structure. There is a right to cost compensation for an excessive policy, as has already been determined by judges. At Aegon and Fortis ASR, among others, this can also be found as such on the sites (see for example http://www.aegon.nl/particulier/klantenservice/regeling-beleggingsverzekering/?int_source=/beleggingsverzekering/).
