I lived together between 1994 and 1996. A cohabitation contract was drawn up. Does my ex-girlfriend have the right to an old-age pension for this period? At some point we separated, sold the house and divided the belongings. Is it true that the cohabitation contract was automatically terminated? However, I never formally sent a registered letter or anything like that, but at the time I assumed that that was the end of the matter.

The cohabitation contract may stipulate that she is entitled to a partner's pension or survivor's pension. This is a pension that is paid out after your death. She will not be entitled to old age pension. You can also ask your pension fund whether a right has indeed been registered for her.
