Travel to Turkey: What to do if you have an outstanding fine?

Can I go on holiday to Turkey if I still have an outstanding fine? or does turkey also fall under the shengen scheme

If you have an outstanding fine, they can stop you at Schiphol or here at the border during a check and say that you must first pay the fine before you can continue. It is therefore advisable to pay the fine before you travel, so that you can go on holiday without fear of being stopped.
