Sickness Benefits Act and Recovery: What Now?

My daughter has always received 100% salary and full travel expenses during her period of sickness benefit (almost 2 years due to pregnancy and childbirth). She then emailed her employer that this was not correct, to which they responded that it was correct. Can they still reclaim any overpaid sickness benefits and travel expenses?
