I had a contract of 20 hours per week that expired on January 31, 2016. I have worked 40 hours from the beginning and have also been paid. Today I signed a new contract, but again for 20 hours per week. The employer does this so that he has to use me less during quieter periods and also pay me less. He has done this once so far. Is this allowed? (It is an installation company and not a catering company) I understand that if you work 3 months more than your contract, you are also entitled to a contract with more hours.

You can appeal to an agreement with that number, which has been worked on average in the week over three months. You will then also build up holiday pay and can legally enforce the scope of work against your employer at the installation company. I would be happy to draw up a petition for you.
