Writ of execution and collection costs: What to do?

Questioner

Ir/Madam, Recently I have handed over a writ of execution from the CJIB to a bailiff's office. The original amount I had to pay was €154.48. The bill I paid to the bailiff was €271.47. This concerns the original amount + collection costs (?) 25,-, 4.75 VAT and 87.24 bailiff costs. Now I saw that the new collection law as of July 2012 caps the additional costs at 15%. Have I paid too much here and can I take action against the bailiff? I would like to hear from you. Thanks in advance for your response.

Lawyer

I think you have already been summoned by the bailiff. That does not fall under the collection costs. You will have to pay those.

Questioner

No, I paid the bailiff immediately. There was no summons. Kind regards
