Legal Advice on IOAW and Pension
Questioner
I have been unemployed for 6 years and after 38 months I switched to the IOAW in my municipality. I am 64 and in a few months I will turn 65. The government has moved my AOW date forward by 9 months, but some of my pensions do start paying out when I reach 65. My question is, will the IOAW continue after my 65th year until my actual retirement? If so, I would like to know whether the pensions paid out will be deducted from the IOAW benefit.Lawyer
Income from pension is deducted from your IOAW benefit. If the income from pension(s) is lower than the IOAW basis, you will receive a supplementary IOAW benefit until you receive an AOW benefit.Take the next step
