Legal questions about employment contracts
Questioner
I work as a domestic helper in home care and have a permanent contract of 10 hours per week. Always worked 11 1/2 hours per week so 1 1/2 hours were compensation hours. Now that a client has passed away, 3 hours are lost which means that I now work 8 1/2 hours waiting for a new address. Now I was told by phone by my care manager that as long as it is necessary, my hours that I worked too few hours would be deducted from my vacation hours! Is this possible?Lawyer
Good morning, Do I understand correctly that you can understand the reduction to 81/2 hours? I find it strange that the sub-hours are deducted from your vacation hours. What I can do for you depends on the employment contract. I have not found anything in your collective labor agreement. If you wish, I will review your contract without obligation.Take the next step
