Legal questions about time registration
Questioner
A time registration system is used to calculate working hours. In the calculation, the hours are rounded off to a multiple of a quarter. However, rounding is always to the advantage of the employer. So if you clock in at 7:50, the time starts at 8:00. If you clock in at 8:01, the time is rounded up to 8:15. The clock out time is also rounded up, clocking out at 16:59 is rounded up to 16:45, etc. Are there rules on how these hours should be rounded up? There is no further restriction on the number of hours paid. If 8 hours are processed, 8 hours are paid out, the same for 9 hours.Lawyer
