Request an extract from the authority register

I need an extract from the authority register of my son. He was born in Capelle ad IJssel, but this is 'not known' at the Rotterdam court. Where can I apply for this, at which court? Thanks in advance for your response.

If he is not known in the authority register of the Rotterdam court, you can ask the court employee to make a printout for you of the fact that he is not listed there in the authority register. That also counts as an extract from the authority register.

You must be at the Rotterdam Court given the place of birth. If there is no registration regarding the child, you will indeed receive the message 'unknown' and the letter with that message can be used as an extract.

Thanks for the responses! I did indeed receive a letter back with only the message that it is 'unknown'. I hope that this will suffice at customs when I go on holiday with my son. I do have an extract from the BRP and also forms with which father gives permission, and his ID.

All this should be sufficient. Please note that the extract BRP will have to be a recent extract (in any case not older than 1 or 2 months I would say). The same applies to the consent form of father.
