Legal Assistance with Car Purchases
Questioner
Dear..., Bought a new car last year after a few months I found out that the navigation map is more than 4 years behind and the Intellilink 950 system itself is not working properly. At the car dealer they say that there are more complaints about it but that they can't do anything about it maybe in the summer of 2016 there will be an update. so far nothing heard from them. But is the car dealer allowed to just sell me something like that? What can I do to fix this because talking doesn't help?Lawyer
If you buy a new car with a navigation system, you can expect to receive a recent navigation map. An outdated map of 4 years seems unacceptable to me, but it depends on the specifications of the car at the time of purchase. Were you aware of this and should the seller have told you? The seller is getting off very easily this way. I advise you to inform the seller in writing that you will receive a free update for several years or some other form of compensation. If you cannot figure it out, you can contact me directly and free of charge for further assistance.Take the next step
