Legal Advice on Contract Changes

Questioner

Question: I will soon be changing employers and will be signing a permanent contract immediately. Now my new employer wants to include this article in the employment contract: 'The employer is authorised to unilaterally amend the employment contract if he has such a weighty interest in doing so that the interests of the employee that are harmed by the amendment must give way to it according to standards of reasonableness and fairness. Government measures that require a different line of conduct than what has been agreed herein, including fiscal measures, will be observed and do not require any compensation on other grounds by the employer. The employer is authorized to amend the provisions of this employment contract and/or its own employment conditions or at least to adjust them if changes in legislation, government measures and/or fiscal measures so require.' Is it allowed to deviate from government measures?

Lawyer

The employer may indeed deviate from regulations if this is stated in your contract. I have experience working with contracts.
