Question about ESTA? Legal advice for travelers

I am currently applying for the ESTA form for a trip to America. one of the questions is: Have you ever been arrested or convicted of a crime that resulted in serious property damage or serious injury to another person or damage to a government institution? I was arrested years ago for involvement in a fight. I spent a few hours at the police station. Then I was allowed to go and I never heard anything about it again. (no fine or conviction) Can I answer no to this question on the ESTA form?

If the fight did not result in serious injury or serious material damage, you can fill in no. On the other hand, you were involved in the fight and not the main perpetrator. If you require further information, please contact me directly.
