Early Retirement and Earning Extra Money: What is Allowed?

Questioner

If I take 100% early retirement (i.e. before the AOW age), can I also receive other income from work (for example as a self-employed person) or are there certain conditions attached to this?

Lawyer

In addition to a pension, you may receive AOW and perform work. I'd like to mean more in terms of consequences.

Questioner

Thank you very much for your response to my request for advice. I would like to ask you a follow-up question. Does your opinion also apply to early retirement? I myself am turning 60 this month. And I want to take early retirement. My pension fund (in this case PFZW) states: 'You have indicated that you want to take old-age pension soon. You may take old-age pension more than five years before your AOW for the part that you stop working. For the part that you have stopped and taken old-age pension, you may not plan to go back to work. For this you must sign a declaration of intent'. I now wonder to what extent such a declaration of intent can reasonably be asked of me. I await your judgment on this with interest. Many thanks in advance.
