In short: Does the agreement below have a notice period of six months in the event of a conversion of a lease into an indefinite term or ALSO in the event of a fixed-term lease? (Do I then have to give notice six months BEFORE the end of a temporary lease period?) ------- AGREEMENT -------- Duration, extension and termination 3.1 This Lease Agreement commences on 18 April 2016 (hereinafter referred to as the 'Effective Date') and is entered into for a period of one year, one month and thirteen days and will continue until 31 May 2017. 3.2 After the expiry of the period referred to in Article 3.1, this rental agreement shall continue for an indefinite period, unless this rental agreement is terminated by notice of cancellation by Tenant or Landlord in accordance with Articles 3.3 and 3.4. 3.3 Termination of this rental agreement shall take place by notice of termination by Tenant to Lessor or by Lessor to Tenant at the end of the current rental period or, in the case of a rental agreement for an indefinite period, at any time, with due observance of a notice period of six months. 3.4 Termination must be effected by bailiff's writ or by registered letter.
