Expiry of BKR registration: Get free advice

By requesting my BKR I discovered that I still have a backlog on an old checking account at a bank. I have not used this account for more than 10 years. I have also not received a message with a request to pay during all that time. Now I would like to buy a house, but this BKR registration is getting in my way. Is it possible for a payment account arrears to expire? And after what period is that? And if this expires, can I demand that the BKR registration be adjusted?
