Legal assistance with employment contracts
Questioner
Dear, My contract with my employer ended on January 16, 2017, since then I have asked for a new employment contract of 6 months. This was promised to me verbally. Now I'm going to sit next week in connection with the new contract. My employer told me this morning that the contract will be retroactive. So starting date from 17 January, is this allowed? This would mean I would have work until June instead of September? Can anyone help me with this?! Greetings.Lawyer
You remained employed on 17 January 2017 under exactly the same conditions as you worked before that date. A new employment contract for six months was then entered into, also without a paper document to back it up. That contract can therefore be terminated as of 16 July 2017.Take the next step
