Legal Assistance with Debt Restructuring
Questioner
I have asked this question before but have not received a response. Second attempt. I have been in debt restructuring for three years and have come out with a clean slate. I received invoices from the tax authorities with the request to pay them, the amounts were from the time that I was in debt restructuring. After information from legal aid, I did not respond to this. Now my benefits are being cut. Can this just happen? What does that mean with a CLEAN SLATE from debt restructuring.Lawyer
From your story I understand that you have been given a clean slate. All debts that were included in the WSNP are no longer recoverable/demandable when you receive a clean slate. You can report this to the Tax Authorities, if they continue to offset or otherwise try to collect the claim, you can reclaim the amounts that were wrongly offset from the Tax Authorities.Take the next step
