I have a flex contract for 23 months, which is almost over now. Now I can get a permanent flex contract from my employer for 1000 hours per year. Is this possible?? I myself prefer a permanent contract like other employees have, because it contains conditions that are much better, namely weekend/evening allowances (which I do not receive) and a pension build-up (which I do not receive either), holiday pay and leave days (also not) Kind regards DELawyer
It is remarkable that your employer offers you an agreement with hours per year. The sectors where this is common are often hospitals or institutions. The spirit of the law is that the hours are distributed fairly. Minimum agreements for primary employment conditions apply to every employee. For example, you are entitled to four times the agreed working hours per week. How will the employer calculate and guarantee this with hours per year? If a collective labor agreement applies, the conditions stated therein apply to you (holidays, leave, pension, allowances).
