Applying for a job while on a permanent contract? Tips & advice
Questioner
I currently have a permanent contract. However, I would like to apply for jobs to broaden my horizons. Also because there are currently no growth opportunities offered by my current employer. Can I apply for leave in this context? Do I have the right to apply for a job to get a better deal? Thank you in advance for your answer.Lawyer
Of course, you can always ask for leave. We do not have a right to application leave. It is also questionable whether it is wise to inform your current employer of your applications. Perhaps it is better to ask for leave for private matters without mentioning the nature of it.Take the next step
