Help with DUO and Compensation

Questioner

I had a non-resident allowance from Duo and I changed schools and obtained my diploma at the other school, but Duo did not register me correctly, which is why my allowance stopped and they want me to pay back from August. Is this correct? Do I have to pay this back or is this not my fault and will I still get money???

Lawyer

Dear, it is not entirely clear who is at fault. More information is needed to determine that. Have you received a decision from the DUO? On what grounds exactly are they claiming your compensation back? What exactly do they say in that decision?

Questioner

They say that I have not been following any education since I left my previous school and that I therefore no longer receive any compensation, but I took an exam 3 weeks ago

Lawyer

Then you can file an objection. You must do this within 6 weeks after the date of the decision. You can indicate why you do not agree with the decision of DUO and send supporting documents. If you have any questions, I would like to hear from you.
