I am a member of a VvE. I have wooden window frames but want plastic window frames. The VvE forbids me to have my window frames replaced with plastic. What is my legal position in this?Lawyer
It depends on what is included in the deed of division. Most deeds of division state that the window frames are joint property, which means that they are maintained (and therefore possibly replaced) by the VvE. In addition, most deeds of division contain provisions regarding the uniformity of the exterior facade.
