Ir/Madam, Can I ask my ex-partner to leave the home and deregister from my current address? What are my rights? We lived together for 4 years without marriage or registered partnership. The house is my property, ex never contributed to the house, only paid for groceries.

I understand that your now ex-partner came to live with you, as it were, and still does, although your relationship has ended. Also, as I understand it, no form of cohabitation arrangement has been put on paper/agreed upon. This means that your ex-partner has no legal right to continue living in the home if you do not want him/her to. He/she will therefore eventually have to leave. If your ex will not comply in any way with your explicit and written request to leave the home and you do not want/cannot actually put him/her out on the street yourself, then an authorization can be requested via the court with which you can instruct a bailiff to carry out the eviction. If your ex-partner does not deregister himself at your address, you can request the municipality to proceed with the deregistration. However, the municipality will then ask you to prove that your ex is wrongly registered at your address. This can be done, for example, by having the bailiff who handles the eviction draw up a report of this.
