Legal Advice on Dismissals and Vacancies

Questioner

I have been working as an administrative employee at a government institution for almost 19 years. As of August 1st, I have been fired due to reorganization. I have been through a work-to-work trajectory of 2 years without result. I have now received alerts via social media that there is a vacancy via an employment agency for 3 months as an administrative employee in a department where I worked for a month via my WnW trajectory. I could not stay there at the time, only via my WnW trajectory (they wanted to extend this. These were just regular tasks). Is this allowed? Shouldn't they give this vacancy to me? After all, I am still employed. MVG

Based on what you report, it seems that there may have been improper grounds for dismissal. I cannot judge that properly because I do not know all the ins and outs. By the way, this is a vacancy for 3 months. Perhaps 'some' additional work has arisen for which someone is temporarily needed. There is no obligation to 'give you the job'; it seems to me that the job is suitable for you and that if you apply, you can hardly be rejected.
