Legal questions about alarm response

Questioner

Good evening, I work as an assistant branch manager. Now we have been told that we must be available at all times for alarm follow-up of the cooling or collection. Can my employer require that I am not allowed to put my private mobile on silent or switch it off? It is my phone after all? And I do not get any compensation for it. Thank you in advance

Lawyer

Unless it is stated in the employment contract or collective labor agreement, you are almost never obliged to provide an alarm response service. Because in similar cases an employer sets up paid on-call service, you can justifiably request compensation. If you wish, you can contact us without any obligation.
