Legal assistance in case of emergency: free advice

While I was out, a boy got angry with me while I was talking to a girl (who turned out to be someone he knew) outside in a place with a fair number of people, and quickly became aggressive. He made a very unexpected movement when he was already close to me and I was shocked. As a reflex, I put my head back, closed my eyes and also put my hand straight forward. I felt that I hit him and he fell because of it. It has been confirmed that he made a very unexpected movement with his hand and it was under a surveillance camera, so that will probably be visible here. When I saw that I hit him (the hit I gave was not very hard) I panicked and became quite afraid of possible friends of his who were there and who could tackle me and immediately walked away to a "safer place" and went home. Eventually I was told that the boy had a tear in his scalp that had to be stitched. He also made a statement that night and may even file a report today. I am very curious about the consequences of this. I have the feeling that he is now trying to get into the ''victim role'' because he is the one who got hit. While in the end I would not have been able to avoid his blow (if it was not a very hard push) by moving my body. Who is really at fault here? He because he was aggressive and made a move towards me anyway (which is probably also visible on the camera) or me because I eventually defended myself but hit him after which he unfortunately fell to the ground. In addition, it is not 100% clear whether it was going to be a blow, a tap, a push or something else. But because of the aggressive attitude and because it was unexpected I am pretty sure that it was something aimed at me.
