Legal Advice on Dismissal: Free Advice
Questioner
I have been at home for 2.5 months because my employer wants to get rid of me. A settlement agreement was eventually reached. This does not include an exemption from work, despite the fact that I have hired a legal advisor. I was now supposed to leave the company on December 31st with a severance payment. Now I received an email today that I either have to take vacation hours or that I have to come to work. They now expect me to work in a completely different region and travel no less than 85 kilometers. In the past period I have already become very depressed and now that they are asking this of me, it really closes the door for me. My question for now is can I report sick in this situation without endangering my own financial situation. Emotionally I am completely exhausted and I cannot bring myself to have to go back to work now.Lawyer
Your situation (whether your employer may require this and whether your advisor has not done his job properly) cannot be properly assessed without viewing this agreement and your employment contract and knowing more about how everything came about. And calling in sick is not always wise. I therefore advise you to contact one of the employment lawyers on this site without obligation.Take the next step
