Legal advice on cooperation and legal validity
Questioner
Our company works together with a company that designs for end customers, but cannot realize them themselves. The company would like us to realize these designs. We make a quote for this directly to the end customer, who is of course also free to shop with other parties. If an order goes through, we will transfer 20% as a bonus settlement after delivery to the company that makes the designs. For this we will announce that the order has been completed and they will send us an invoice for the 20% of the total amount, neatly including VAT settlement. All this is based on a gentleman's agreement between us. Can we actually assume that this construction is legally valid?Lawyer
Based on the information you provided, there does not seem to be a problem with regard to the legal validity of the construction. However, it might be important to record some things in writing, so that the mutual rights and obligations are known, even if something goes wrong somewhere.Take the next step
