My ex-husband pays child support, but a lower amount than the maximum described in our agreement. I agreed to this at the time because he was still alone and he also had to live and reside. In the meantime, he lives with his girlfriend (she has no children). The children are in secondary education and vocational education. So much younger costs. Can I oblige my ex to increase the support to the maximum agreed amount? It is not the case that he will then get into financial difficulties or something. I would like to hear about it.

Under the current maintenance rules, cohabitation of a maintenance debtor does not directly affect the calculation of his capacity to pay, although it is sometimes different if it can be demonstrated that due to cohabitation his housing costs are lower than the fictitious amount of housing costs that is usually calculated.
