Define place of residence: Hours criterion explanation

Questioner

The answer to a question on the site was 'You live somewhere if, according to the law, you are staying/residing somewhere for a certain number of hours'. My question now is what that hours criterion is. Or...how many hours do you have to live somewhere at least to actually live there? I hope to hear from you soon.

Lawyer

Article 1:10 paragraph 1 of the Dutch Civil Code states the following; (...) 'The place of residence of a natural person is located at his place of residence, and in the absence of a place of residence, at the place where he actually stays'. Essentially, it's about where you actually stay, not the amount of hours.
