My employer has lost my employment contract (indefinite period from 2009) and my payroll tax declaration. My employer asks me to send a copy of my contract (scan) and to fill out the payroll tax declaration again. 1/ Do I have to cooperate with this? 2/ I am concerned about the way my employer handles my data 3/ What now?

It is very sloppy of the employer to lose documents of personnel. In itself you do not have to cooperate with this but in the interest of a solution of the case it is advisable. Regarding the wage tax declaration you can indicate to your employer that he should solve this with the tax authorities and possibly that you can sign a copy of the form in consultation with the tax authorities to prevent tax problems.
