Legal Advice on Contracts and Cancellation Law

Questioner

Recently I was approached by a company that offered me information without obligation. The last part of the conversation was recorded. When the gentleman summarizes the agreements, a tape recording is started. Suddenly there is talk about a contract that can be canceled within three working days. I answer 'yes' as a confirmation answer to this. I then receive a confirmation email, which also states that the contract can be cancelled within three days, but the final cancellation date they provide has already passed. I did not ask for this phone call and had no interest in what the company offered me. During the phone conversation I was overwhelmed and said 'yes' because I still thought it was without obligation. Because the cancellation date given in the email had already passed, I did not cancel the contract. Then I received an invoice for 750 euros. I called the company in question to cancel, but because the three days had passed this was not possible. What is the best thing for me to do now?

You can still claim the right to the 14-day cooling-off period and cancel the purchase, provided you are a consumer. This cooling-off period will be extended by one year since no information has been provided to you about the cooling-off period and no form has been sent. If the seller persists, please contact me directly for further steps.
