Legal Assistance for Ex-Partner Moving
Questioner
I have been divorced since August 21st and since November 11th the ex-wife is no longer personally liable for the mortgage. All paperwork has been properly completed and the agreements are all on paper. I bought her out of the house. The terms and conditions state that the ex must leave the house within six months. Unfortunately, this does not work. The six months have passed and she is still there. After six months of not being liable for the mortgage, the ex is still in the house. She is unable to find/get a rental home or something. What are my options to actually get her out of the house now? Can I just put her outside? I'm a little desperate about how to get her out of the house.Lawyer
You have a duty of care that sometimes ends. A reasonable period has been given to find an alternative. So you could execute the judgment by having her evicted. I think it would be better if you first had a lawyer write a firm letter and give a new short period before you call in the big arm.Take the next step
