Legal questions about rental agreements
Questioner
I bought a piece of pasture with stable in Strijen, to start a care farm. The offer was accepted and the bank agreed. There is now a tenant on the property with horses (rents the land from the seller). I want to sign as soon as possible so that my own horses can be on it, but without a tenant. The real estate agent now indicates that the tenant can be off the land as of September. This is too late for me, I actually want to transfer the horses as of June 1st when the contract is signed. What are my rights in the negotiation with the seller and his tenant? And can the seller sell a piece of land with tenant? Am I then obliged to take over the tenant? I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.Lawyer
In principle you can agree on whatever you want. With tenant, without tenant, you can also decide to buy other land. The seller is also free to stipulate whatever he wants; he does not have to deliver the property free of rent. Make sure you record what has been mutually agreed upon and read the contracts carefully. If necessary, have someone who has experience assist you.Take the next step
