Legal questions about salary and parental authority

Questioner

Hello, I am 16 years old. My parents say that they are the boss of my salary that I earn myself in the supermarket. I have a youth account. Do my parents have the right to decide when I can and cannot access my money? And if not, can I open an account myself? Thanks in advance for your answer! Yours sincerely.

Yes, your parents have legal custody of your assets (the management), but within reason. This means that if you want to save for a driver's license or something like that, you can, but if you spend money on everything without thinking and your salary is gone within a day, then your parents are right. These are extreme examples, but you get the idea. You must be 18 years old to open an account.
