Hello My daughter has had braces placed. The total treatment of 20 months costs 2,250 euros. My orthodontist declared this amount in one go under code V461, placement of braces in category 6. This amount includes material and technical costs, so payment has already been made for treatment, such as a monthly check-up, while they have not even taken place yet. Is that allowed?????

I assume that your orthodontist is anticipating the changes in orthodontist rates that are expected to decrease by 16% on January 1, 2013. You can ask your orthodontist for the conditions under which he currently works.

Hello The terms and conditions do not state anything about this, only what the customer must adhere to, you can still declare something while the treatment has not yet taken place and the health insurer simply cooperates with this, so the healthcare costs in the Netherlands also get out of hand, because the health insurer and the orthodontist could not answer my question if the treatment is suddenly stopped in some way or the orthodontist then also transfers the money back to my health insurer.
