Legal assistance with pension equalization
Questioner
I was married for 10 years and always worked as much as my ex-husband during that time. My ex-husband changed employers every year and therefore built up small pension bites. In addition, my ex had his own company all that time but he did not want to build up a pension, which I disapproved of. I myself did not build up small bites but worked for the same employer for a long time. My ex-husband does not have to equalize his built-up pension because he falls below the lower limit per employer. I do have to equalize. I do not think this is fair. We both worked the same amount. Am I in a strong position if I go to court?Lawyer
I understand very well that this does not feel fair, but unfortunately there is not much that can be done about this. On paper, your ex has never done anything wrong. He was not obliged to build up a pension as an entrepreneur and he cannot be blamed for changing employers every year.Take the next step
