Question about debt collection? Get free advice!

I was called yesterday afternoon by Unic-parts debt collection agency asking if I could transfer €119 to a German bank. This concerns a so-called arrears in the matter of Centerwellness. According to them, I have already received a letter a few times but have never seen anything, neither by post nor by email. What should I do with this? I have read on the Radar website that there are people who have also been approached by the debt collection agency who asked for everything but received the answer: pay first, otherwise no papers either.

You are wise to request the agreement that shows that there is a claim on you. If this is not there or is not sent, then you do not have to pay. The debt collection agency has the burden of proof and not you.

It appears that this is fake. I would not respond. Only when you receive mail from the court (I expect they will send a “Mahnbescheid”) is a timely response necessary to avoid disadvantages.
