Legal Assistance with Rental Contracts and Landlords
Questioner
Dear ls, Have been living in the countryside for 10 years with a farmer, an attached house. My rental contract states 600 euros including gas and an advance of 40 euros electricity. The water cannot be calculated because it concerns 1 pipe. Now the landlord comes that he still gets 10 years of electricity, I have used more than those 40 euros of course as a family. Never received an annual statement from the landlord. My question is, whether the landlord is still entitled to money, what I have consumed in those 10 years. Sorry, I already asked this question, but it was formulated incorrectly, it should be an advance payment of 40 euros for electricityLawyer
The landlord can claim back up to 5 years due to the limitation period. If the contract states that you owe electricity (possibly above a fixed amount) then you must comply. If it is only about the advance payment then you owe that but then only 5 years back. If you cannot reach an agreement, I would be happy to look at your case.Take the next step
