Legal Assistance for Nuisance from Neighbors

Our neighbours, we live in an old farmhouse that has been dug in two, have made French doors about a metre from the property line last spring, we experience nuisance from this, noise, talking, calling etc., although they have placed a fence on the property line, we miss the feeling of privacy. What are our rights, can we watch it for the time being without losing our rights.
