Can my boyfriend move with kids? Get free advice!

Questioner

Dear Sir/Madam, My boyfriend is divorced and has two young children. He signed in the parenting plan for a possible move within a radius of 10 km. Now the mother of the children does not want to give her approval. But she also signed for that radius within 10 km. Can you tell me if my boyfriend is allowed to move now, or if he still has to get the mother's approval first. We would like to live together soon, to build a new future. Nothing will change in the contact between mother and children, and the parenting plan will remain in force as far as agreements are concerned. I hope to hear from you soon. Yours sincerely,

He can simply move. After all, that has already been agreed between the parties. Do the children live primarily with their mother or with your boyfriend? If the children were registered with your boyfriend and therefore move with them, it may be advisable to still obtain permission from the children's mother. If they only stay with their father in the context of a contact arrangement, that will not immediately have a huge impact, especially not now that, as far as I understand from you, nothing has changed in terms of contact arrangements.
