Legal advice on moving after divorce
Questioner
I got divorced 9 years ago. Children have lived with mother since then. In agreement it states that there is joint parental authority and the visitation arrangement is described. This has been adhered to properly to date. I am 60+ and will soon be on welfare after being laid off. I don't feel like it (anymore) and now plan to move abroad. My children are 18 and 17 years old and have no objection to this move. My ex, however, thinks that I am not allowed to move just like that. She wants to enforce an emigration ban for me on the basis of the covenant via a lawyer. My question now is whether she has a chance of success?Lawyer
