Legal advice on concert ticket refunds

Questioner

Dear, I recently bought concert tickets from an organization, now the organization has decided not to let the concert go ahead. Now the intention according to the website is that the organization where I bought the tickets will refund the amount within 2 weeks, I have sent my details to the organization but have still not received any money from them, can you take legal steps in this problem?

Lawyer

Dear questioner, since when does this problem exist? You can urge the organization to immediately refund any amounts subsequently paid without due cause.

Questioner

Dear Monique, thank you for your quick response, the concert was supposed to take place on November 10, 2012 so on November 12 I contacted the organization and forwarded my details on the website it said that the amount would be refunded within 2 weeks, last Monday the 2 weeks had just passed. So I know that the problem has only just started but I find it strange that they say you will have it back within 2 weeks and now that the 2 weeks have passed I have not received anything so I wanted to know what I can do also legally, I obviously want my money back. I find it strange that it takes so long and I do not hear anything from them. You said that I can send a reminder to the organization but how many weeks or time do they have to pay it back to me? And if I can send a reminder to the organization where should I do this, at my bank? and by the amount paid afterwards without due cause, do you mean the amount I paid for the tickets?

Lawyer

Dear, You are entitled to your money back after two weeks. That time has only just passed so I would say give three to four weeks. Then you send a registered letter with the facts and details and immediately demand your money back on the grounds of undue payment. You send this letter to the organization.

Questioner

great! I know enough thanks Monique for your quick response.
