Legal assistance with invoice problems

Questioner

We recently had our roof repaired by a handyman company. He had sent us a quote in advance, which has since been adjusted a few times. Halfway through the job he said it would be much cheaper because certain work would not have to be done. He also gave a guideline price, which was much lower than the original. Of course we are happy. In the end he sent us a final invoice which was again a lot higher. Also not specified, as I had agreed with him. He has just indicated that he will not make a specified statement and also indicated that he expects us to pay on time. Are we now entitled to an itemised final invoice? We have only made a down payment so far. regards,

Of course it is important what you pay for and a specified invoice is needed for that. Now that the company does not want to hand that over it is advisable to send a notice of default with a final request to send the requested item.
