Debt settlement from Germany - Legal aid centre
Questioner
An acquaintance started a self-employed company a few years ago. This went very well, but the employers paid him too late or not at all, which caused the bills to mount up. Eventually he ended the self-employed company (not declared bankrupt) with large debts as a result (lease contracts, tax authorities, etc.) Now he lives in Germany but wants to pay off his debts. Is it possible to go into debt restructuring when you live in Germany? If this is not possible, how else does it work? Who should he approach for a home in the Netherlands, including all the additional regulations of debt restructuring?Lawyer
That is possible but for conversations etc. one has to go to the Netherlands, or arrange it remotely. In any case, the law does not rule it out .https://www.bureauwsnp.nl/voor-burgers/veelvragen/toevoering-tot-de-wsnp/ik-woon-in-het-buitenland.-kan-ik-worden-toelaten-in-de-wsnpLawyer
He can also initiate debt restructuring in Germany (Insolvenz).Take the next step
